Notice the following…
Through BBI rallies, Raila has proved he still wants to vie for political office, something that hasn’t gone down well with most Kenyans. His rusted ODM party and NASA lieutenants like Kakamega county governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya, Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho, FK boss Wetangula, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka have outgrown their previous positions as baba’s flower girls and are angling for the coalitions blessings and presidential ticket.
Raila has also allowed his thinking to be influenced by pro majimbo activists from coastal Kenya and the rift valley, something deep state/the system or whatever its called has fought vehemently since independence.
Through BBI rallies, tribalism and historical land injustices have come to the fore as war mongers in the rift valley and coastal region go for absentee landlords and demand their lands back.
Through BBI rallies, Raila’s side kicks like COTU boss Francis Atwoli have openly vouched for President Uhuru Kenyatta as next premier yet most Kenyans believe that Uhuru has messed our economy and deserves to retire.
Through BBI rallies, political mandarins have managed to divide the country into two…hustlers vs the blue band boys. Yet we should be building more bridges than we’ve destroyed.
In a nutshell, BBI is doing more harm than good. That might be why Uhuru himself has not attended a single rally, just like he skipped Mariga’s Kibra parliamentary seat campaigns.
